Portraiture Italian Style: TUSCANY
April 28 2019 - May 5 2019
Greg Miller Workshops, Villa San Rocco, Via Magenta, Bagni di Lucca, Province of Lucca, Italy
A Unique Photography Workshop Exploring Portraiture Surrounded by the Tuscan Landscape
Greg Miller Workshops is delighted to offer Portraiture Italian Style: TUSCANY–a unique one-week workshop exploring portraiture against the backdrop of Italy’s mythical landscape, led by veteran photographers Greg Miller and Giulia Nausicaa Bianchi.
Our home for the week is a 17th Century Baroque villa from which we travel to and from some of Italy’s most famous cities: Florence, the walled city of Lucca and the beach town of Forte dei Marmi. Meeting and talking to the locals that reside in the tiny village of Benabbio, eating some of the best cuisine in the world will help you forget about the rest of the world and cultivate your photography with like-minded peers.
The workshop is based at The Villa San Rocco nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Our host, Jonathan Beacon, bakes us fresh baked bread every morning and home cooked lunch and dinner made with local wine and locally sourced ingredients. The workshop includes all meals including three dinners at local restaurants. The Villa overlooks the tiny village of Bennabio with it’s winding streets and medieval stone walls.
This workshop is for anyone wanting to move to a new level with their portraiture. It is an opportunity to create your pictures in an unfamiliar location of people of an exceptional culture. You are immersed in a environment that is both contemporary and ancient. Every day brings new and exciting opportunities for you to push yourself to make better pictures. Greg and Giulia help facilitate opportunities with locals for the benefit of the group. In the evenings you relax and edit your work. In the morning, after breakfast, we all meet in the downstairs Gran Salone of the villa for low-key critiques in a family like atmosphere.
